Chris Andrews should be a name familiar to regular Atlantean readers and you may have come across the poetry books by Colin Archer and Katie Ruth, all of whom have contributed poems to this A5 booklet. Taking cats (and the occasional other animal) as its topic, the collection also introduces nine previously unpublished poets' work and is reminiscent of the sort of poetry you would have seen in the late, lamented Earth Love. There are over twenty poems of various styles and lengths and I think the collection will go down well with anyone who enjoys animal poetry. My favourites are Lionel, the story of the eponymous pet's wanderings, by Pattie Lopez, the amusingly c-based Can-Do Cats by Sylvia Chesney, The Fox by Jennie Dempsey and the wonderful story of The white Rabbit that is "the star of the Great Zorro's act" by Colin Archer. A fun collection. Recommended.
